Emmanuel Mudiay (ex Quebradillas) joins Al Ahly Tripoli

Emmanuel Mudiay

Defending champion Al Ahly Tripoli (D1) agreed terms with 29-year old DR Congolese ex-international guard Emmanuel Mudiay (196cm-86kg-1996) for the new 2026 season. He played last summer at Piratas de Quebradillas in the Puerto Rican BSN league. In 36 games, he had very impressive stats: 23.3ppg, 4.6rpg, 5.7apg, and 1.3spg. He helped them to end the regular season as the second-best team in the league. Quite an impressive season as he was voted Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican League Import Player of the Year, Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican League Player of the Year, and Guard of the Year.
In 2015, he was drafted by the Denver Nuggets (NBA) in the first round (7th overall). Mudiay was a member of the DR Congolese Senior National Team during 2017.
He is a very experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in six different countries. Mudiay tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously in China (Guandong Tigers), Lithuania (Zalgiris), NBA (NY Knicks and Sacramento Kings), NBA G League (Iowa Wolves) and NBA Summer League (Portland Trail Blazers).
