Melilla inks Javier Ezquerra, ex Bayamon

Melilla Ciudad del Deporte (Primera FEB) has agreed to terms with 24-year-old Puerto Rican guard Javier Ezquerra (185cm-79kg-2002, college: Wagner). He played for Vaqueros de Bayamon in the Puerto Rican BSN league last season, where he averaged 4.3ppg, 2.1rpg, and 3.1apg in 48 games. Ezquerra played a key role in helping his team win the league title.
Ezquerra was a member of the Puerto Rican Under 19 National Team in 2021.
He graduated from Wagner College in 2025 and is in his first season as a professional player. Ezquerra was voted to the NEC All-Defensive Team in 2025.
