King number one in Puerto Rico BSN for week 1 (by Hoops Agents)

American Forward Louis King (201-F-1999) had an amazing evening in the last week for top-ranked Criollos de Caguas, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 1.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out Ponce (#4, 1-3) 99-98. It allowed Criollos to take over top position in the Puerto Rican BSN. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Caguas won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next week. In the team's last game King had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He just recently signed at Criollos and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader.

The second best player in last week's games was young international power forward Christian Negron (201-F/C-1998) of Leones de Ponce. Negron had a very good evening with 21 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. It was enough for Leones to edge Mayaguez (0-3) 89-85. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next week. Negron is one of the most experienced players at Ponce and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last week was American guard Alex Hamilton (193-PG-1993, agency: SLN) of league's top team Atleticos de San German. Hamilton scored 26 points and passed 8 assists. He was a key player of Atleticos, leading his team to a 99-92 win against #3 ranked Manati in a game of the week. San German started extremely well this year. They recorded 5 victories without losing a single game in Group B. Hamilton turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Hamilton has a great season in Puerto Rico. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.3apg (4th best).

8. Renaldo Balkman (203-F/C-1984) of Bayamon - 12 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Jack McVeigh (203-F-1996) of Arecibo - 27 points and 2 assists
10. Brandon Knight (190-G-1991) of Guaynabo - 21 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists
