Jalen Crutcher gets MVP of the Week award for Puerto Rican BSN

American Jalen Crutcher (187-G-1999) put on an amazing game in the last week for Leones de Ponce and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 12.
The 26-year old guard got a double-double of 26 points and 10 assists, while his team beat Santurce (#5, 6-9) 103-92. Leones maintains the 5th position in their group in the Puerto Rican BSN. Ponce is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-10 record. Crutcher just recently signed at Leones, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of Dayton graduate has very impressive stats this year. Crutcher is in league's top in assists (8th best: 5.9apg) and averages solid 61.5% FGP and 49.1% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last week's games was young New Zealand center Tyrell Harrison (214-C-1999) of Indios de Mayaguez. Harrison impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 24 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Indios was edged by slightly higher-ranked Arecibo (#2, 10-4) 87-85. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group A. Mayaguez still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 8-8 record is not bad at all. Harrison is one of the most experienced players at Mayaguez and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.1ppg (#2). He also registered 9.9 boards per game.

The third best performed player last week was American Jae Crowder (198-SF-1990, agency: Shark Sports Management) of top-ranked Vaqueros de Bayamon. Crowder scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Despite Crowder's great performance the Vaqueros lost 99-100 to #2 ranked Caguas. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Bayamon needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in the Group B. Their record is 11 victories and 7 lost games. Crowder has a very solid season. In 15 games in Puerto Rico he scored 14.5ppg.
