Quebradillas ink Anthony Cowan Jr., ex Mersin Spor

Piratas de Quebradillas (BSN) signed 28-year old American point guard Anthony Cowan Jr. (183cm-77kg-1997, college: Maryland, agency: Octagon Europe). He moved there from Mersin Spor in Turkish BSL league. In 29 games he had 14.9ppg, 1.6rpg and 6.8apg last season. He also played 8 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded 13.6ppg, 1.9rpg and 5.4apg. The last season season he played at BC Wolves Twinsbet Vilnius (LKL) in Lithuanian league.
In 2021 (a year after his graduation) he was drafted by Memphis Hustle (G-League) in first round (16th overall).
The former University of Maryland star is in his sixth season in pro basketball.
Cowan is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Greece (Aris and Promitheas), Lithuania and NBA Summer League (Memphis Grizzlies).
Among many awards Cowan's team made it to the Lithuanian Cup Final Four in 2025. Cowan was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Lithuanian League All-Imports Team in 2025.
