Harrell's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

31-year old American center Montrezl Harrell (203-C-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last week for league's best team Atleticos de San German and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 23.
He had a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds, while his team edged out Carolina (#3, 15-12) 93-89. It allowed Atleticos to consolidate first place in the Puerto Rican league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. San German has a very solid 20-9 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Harrell had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Atleticos, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of Louisville graduate has very impressive stats this year. Harrell is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 9.6rpg) and averages solid 65.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last week was Tyrell Harrison (214-C-1999) of Indios de Mayaguez. He is New Zealand center in his first season at Mayaguez. In the last game Harrison recorded an impressive double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Indios lost that game 93-98 to slightly higher-ranked Santurce (#5, 13-14). Mayaguez managed to keep the same 5th spot in Group A. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 10-17 record. Harrison is one of the most experienced players at Mayaguez and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.2ppg (#5). He also registered 9.9 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center Moses Brown (218-C-1999) of league's second-best Criollos de Caguas. Brown scored 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Brown's great performance the Criollos lost 90-100 to #1 ranked San German. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Caguas needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in the Group B. Their record is 17 victories and 10 lost games. Brown has a great season in Puerto Rico. After 26 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.9ppg (7th best), rebounds with 10.7rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 0.7apg (4th best). He also has 1.9bpg and a FGP of 63.3%.
