Santurce welcomes back Faried, ex Panathinaikos

Cangrejeros de Santurce (BSN) inked experienced 36-year old USA ex-international 203cm forward Kenneth Faried (college: Morehead State). It is actually his comeback to Cangrejeros as he has played here before. He played most recently at Panathinaikos in Greek GBL league. In 11 games he averaged 6.4ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.4bpg last season. He also played 35 games in Euroleague where he had 5.8ppg and 3.9rpg. Faried helped them to make it to the quarterfinals.
In 2011 he was drafted by Denver Nuggets (NBA) in first round (22nd overall). The former Morehead State star is in his 16th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player. Faried has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to eleven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played professionally in China (Guangsha Lions), Italy (Reggio Emilia), Mexico (Soles), Russia (PBC CSKA Moscow), Taiwan (Ghosthawks), Venezuela (Guaiqueries), NBA (Houston Rockets and Brooklyn Nets), Puerto Rico (Leones), NBA G League (Austin Spurs, Grand Rapids Gold and Capitanes de Ciudad de Mexico) and NBA Summer League (Portland Trail Blazers).
Among many awards Faried's team was regular season runner-up in Puerto Rican League Group B in 2025. Faried was also voted to Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBP Forward of the Year in 2024.
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Santurce.
