Pakel Gumbs Selected to Attend International Basketball Federation Training in Guadeloupe

The Saint Lucia National Basketball Federation is delighted and revels together with Pakel Gumbs after news that the senior national player was selected to attend the International Basketball Federation - IBF Leadership Training Workshop in Guadeloupe. The International Basketball Foundation had requested nominations for youth leaders earlier this year and the names of two persons who met the criteria, Pakel Gumbs and Tristan James were submitted. In the end Gumbs got the nod and will attend the workshop in Guadeloupe during the 3X3 IBF Hoops Finals scheduled for 27th February - March 2nd 2020. Meanwhile, Saint Lucia will be represented at the 3X3 tournament by the following players: Renair Yard, Cletuson Leon, Cheic Alphonse and Keon Allen in the Boys Category and Mia George, Andalzia Cherry, Sybille Eugene and Romia Joseph in the Girls Category. National team preparations continue with Under 17 tryouts this coming Sunday 1st March at the Vigie sports Complex. The subsequent second Round will be held in the South with a date and location to be confirmed.
