AEL lost the third game in EuroCup campaign last night. In the game versus Turkish Galatasaray the team had nothing to do but to accept the loss as Sophia Young (186-F-83, college: Baylor) shined for the hosts. She nailed 32 points to lead the winners to 4-1. Sebnem Nezahat Kimyacioglu posted 19, while Petra Ujhelyi collected 8 points and 13 rebounds. Betty Lennox top-scored for the team from Cyprus with 22 points.

An amazing personal streak by Sophia Young lifted Turkish team on top of the group. Despite a fast start by AEL, Galatasaray looked better in the entire game and was the favorite even before it. Sebnem Nezahat Kimyacioglu started contributing for the hosts from the very beginning.

Even though the teams showed an appropriate percentage from the field, their three-pointers could be much better. AEK made 4 out 18 far shots, while Galatasaray was even worse, 2 out of 15. It was Stoenescu for AEK who made 10 attempts and made 2 of them. The next game AEK will play on December 13th against Elizur from Israel. In another game of the group Dnipro sensationally overcame Elizur and improved to 1-4. Two players led Dnipro nailing 42 points together.
