Sophia Young top-scores again

Sophia Young (186-F-83, college: Baylor) has a great season in Turkey and top-scores almost always for her Galatasaray. It was not an exception in the latest game of EuoCup as Turkish team advanced to the next stage. When Turkish Galatasaray upset Tarbes GB at home 61:41 it was hardly believed that French team would advance. Moreover Galatasaray started the second game with 16:26 and at that time celebrated the aggregate win. Tarbes GB however won the game 69:68 with 24:17 in the last quarter. Clemence Beikes led the winners with 18 points. Liz Moeggenberg collected 14 points and 8 rebounds, while Gisella Vega scored 9 points and made 10 rebounds. Sophia Young top-scored for the Turkish squad with 17 points and 9 rebounds, but it is a must to mention 16 points and 11 rebounds from Petra Ujhelyi and 11 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists from Isil Alben.
Sophia Young scored first 4 points for her team as Galatasaray dominated in the opening quarter. Liz Moeggenberg reduced to 4:9 and then Galatasaray went on another lead. The teams finished the first quarter with 16:26 for the visitors.
The second quarter was not so offensive as the squads tried to pay more attention in defense. Sophia Young made +14 in the middle of the second quarter for 20:34. At that time Argentinian Gisella Vega was the one to struggle for the hosts and due to her effort the hosts cut to 28:36.
