Lyttle Sancho starts EuroLeague campaign

Sancho Lyttle (193-C-83, college: Houston) started her EuroLeague campaign with the Spanish team abroad. Wisla Can-Pack Krakow that joined EuroLeague only due to CSKA's bankruptcy won the opener of the season. The Polish side overcame Sancho Lyttle's Halcon Avenida in Spain 65:60 for the first victory. Kobryn brought the first points for the winners and Dominguez tied the game at 2:2. The squads exchanged the baskets later in the frame as Le'Coe Willingham gave the hosts 13:11 at the end o it. Liron Cohen nailed three to open the second quarter and Burse scored for 26:17. Kobryn made the difference of ten points but Sancho Lyttle reduced to 27:32 at the halftime. Fernandez and Katerina Zohnova gave the Polish side plus 11, but the hosts to 44:46 when Olexandra Gorbunova nailed a three-pointer. Liron Cohen posted another triple for 51:44 to close the third frame. Four times Avenida reduced the arrears to just three points in the final quarter, the last when Silvia Dominguez made a jump shot with 25 seconds left. Liron Cohen made two free throws at the end of the game to give her team the first victory. Liron Cohen paced all the winners with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Katerina Zohnova finished the night with 15 points and Fernandez notched 11. Olexandra Gorbunova, Le'Coe Willingham and Sancho Lyttle chipped in 11 points each in defeat. Silvia Dominguez followed them with 9 points.
