Lyttle advanced to the Play-offs with Atlanta as the latter finished the Regular Season with 19-15 record. Sancho Lyttle (193-C-83, college: Houston) average 12.7 points per game and has 9.8 rebounds. Vincentian player recorded 27 points this year early in May. That time Angel McCoughtry scored 32 points and Sancho Lyttle added 27 to lead the unbeaten Atlanta Dream to a 97:82 win over the Connecticut Sun.
Recently Washington held off Atlanta to clinch the top-seed in the Eastern Conference. They Mystics won the sixth straight game and would face Atlanta in the first round of playoffs. Monique Curry led the effort with 20 points. Crystal Langhorne added 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Angel McCoughtry replied with 19 points for the Dream. Sancho Lyttle produced 17 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists in the losing effort.
Last night Washington got to a shocking start of their playoffs campaign. The top-seeded Mystics surrendered against Atlanta 95:90 at home court. Angel McCoughtry scored 28 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to lead the Dream to a surprising victory at the end. The Mystics fell the victim of their old playoff curse as they lost the seventh straight post-season game. Coco Miller added 21 points for the winners who are looking to seal the Conference Final birth in Atlanta. Marissa Coleman scored career-high 18 points for the Mystics. Crystal Langhorne contributed 16 points and 9 rebounds in the loss and Sancho Lyttle collected 8 points and 9 rebounds.
On August 27th Atlanta will face Washington again.
