Sancho Lyttle explodes in Game One of WNBA Eastern Conference Finals

Sancho Lyttle (193-C-83, college: Houston) demonstaredt wonderful performance in the first game of the WNBA Eastern Conference Finals. She helped her Atlanta Dream to beat the NY Liberty on the road 81-75 for 1-0 lead in the series. Lyttle spent 27 minutes on the court registering double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds. She was the MVP of this meeting with valuation 26. Game 2 is Tuesday night in Atlanta, with Game 3, if necessary, back at Madison Square Garden on Thursday. The winner will advance to the WNBA finals against Seattle, which beat Phoenix 91-88 on Sunday to complete a sweep in the West finals. Atlanta, which led the league in rebounding, finished with a 40-28 edge on the boards against New York. The Dream also outscored the Liberty 50-34 in the paint, and had 22 second-chance points - to just seven for New York.
Sancho Lyttle played 32 games so far this season. She averaged 13.1 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists. Mostly owing to her great plays and Iziane Castro Marques, the Atlanta Dream reached the Eastern Finals. Lyttle joined Atlanta in 2009. Before that, she played few years for the Houston Comets. Lyttle is a two-time WNBA All-Star player.
