Sancho Lyttle (193-C-83, college: Houston) will have a chance to win the WNBA title this season. Lyttle and her team Atlanta Dream outplayed the NY Liberty in the second game 105-93 winning the Eastern Conference Finals with perfect 2-0. Their rival in WNBA Finals will be Seattle Storm. Lyttle spent 35 minutes on the court collecting 8 points and 5 rebounds. She did a great job in defense last night. In Game One, Sancho Lyttle exploded with 18 points and 13 boards for 27 minutes.
Short game report: Angel McCoughtry scored a WNBA playoff record 42 points to win a high-scoring duel with Cappie Pondexter, and the Atlanta Dream beat the New York Liberty 105-93 on Tuesday night to complete their unlikely march to the league finals. Pondexter led New York with 36 points, her postseason high mark, and nine assists. The Dream, the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs, swept Washington in the first round before also winning two straight over the Liberty in the conference finals. Atlanta, a third-year expansion franchise which set a league record with 30 losses only two years ago, will face the Western Conference champion Seattle Storm in the WNBA finals. The best-of-five series begins Sunday in Seattle.
Sancho Lyttle appeared 36 times for Atlanta this season averaging 12.9 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists. She joined them last year. Sancho Lyttle is a member of the Spanish National Team. Last season in Europe she was named Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LFB Player of the Year -10.
