St. Vincent National Selection

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Basketball Federation announces a 21 man training squad for possible selection to the National Male Team and 27 for possible selection to the National Female Team. The names are:

Vasha Adams, Nicole Sandy-Stephenson, Anella Samuel, Saska Diamond, Elizabeth Matthews, Sheldeen Joseph, Kailene, Thompson, Avi-Ann Myers, Gailene Gordon, Suzette Jackson, Iasha Sam, Tamara Samuel, Timesha Toussaint, Rochelle Haynes, Shanna Brown, Azola Francis, Roseman Paris, Shantel Joseph, Chantelle John (188-F-86, college: TCU), Maurel Cupid, Kia Prince, Jamalia Cottle, Cleo Hoyte, Brownie Allicott, Corisa Williams-Nero and Fanella Quashie.

These players are expected to attend their first practice session and meeting at the New Montrose Hard Court on Wednesday May 11th at 6 p.m. The Male team is expected to defend its championship title in the 2011 Windward Islands Basketball Championship in Dominica, July 12th 17th, then, journey to Bahamas for the Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) tournament with their female counterpart July 25th to August 5th.

The Coaching Staff includes but not limited to: Junior Sutton, Wayne Williams, Oral Roberts and Darwin Vanloo. Karel Bramble and Kenlyn Clouden are the Managers. Invitations have been sent to the overseas based players.
