Shimane Magic inks Nyika Williams

Shimane Susanoo Magic (B1 League) agreed terms with 33-year old Vincentian ex-international power forward Nyika Williams (203-105kg-87, college: Pacific). He will still stay in Japan where he played last season at Akita Northern Happinets. In 39 B1 League games in Japan he had 8.1ppg and 5.3rpg.
The previous (18-19) season Williams played at Fukushima Firebonds (B2 League). In 12 games he recorded very impressive stats: 18.3ppg, 7.5rpg, 1.3apg and 1.3spg.
Williams also represented Saint Vincent at the CBC Championships in Tortola (British Virgin Islands) five years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 9.3ppg, 6.5rpg, 2.5apg, 1.8spg, FGP: 42.2%, FT: 50.0%.
Williams is quite experienced player. He has played on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America). Williams has played previously professionally also in Finland (KTP Basket), France and Tunisia (JS Kairouan) and Japan (Saitama Broncos, Orange Vikings, Kagawa Five Arrows, Dragonflies and Gunma).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted AfroBasket.com All-Tunisian League Defensive Player of the Year back in 2014.
He attended University of Pacific until 2011 and it will be his tenth season as a professional player.
