Venezuela - Ecuador 68-78
Ecuador rallied past Venezuela for the opening victory at the championship. The hosts led by as many as 6 points at halftime 41-35. The teams traded baskets throughout the third term. But Ecuador ignited a 26-10 run in the fourth frame to rally to the victory. Joseph Caicedo (196-F-2004) netted 26 points, while Janer Arcila (172-G-2004) added 23 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for Ecuador. Jonathan Griman (205-C-2004) responded with 15 points and 11 rebounds for Venezuela.

Argentina - Chile 95-38
Argentina cruised past Chile to ensure the second straight win in Caracas. Argentina grabbed a 38-15 halftime lead. They unleashed 57 points in the second half to cruise to the victory. Dylan Bordon (190-G-2004) produced 13 points, while Fausto Moussa (186-G-2004) added 11 points for Argentina. Italo Almarza (189-SG-2004) responded with 12 points for Chile.
