Univalle - Santiago 66-77
Santiago earned the first win at the South American Club Championship. They defeated Univalle yesterday to improve at 1-1 record in Group A. Univalle slipped at 0-2 record at the bottom of the ladder. Romina Valenzuela (178-F-86) scored 21 points to pace Santiago. Catalina De La Quinta added 13 points for the winners. Jannete Via Siles responded with 20 points for Univalle. Laura Florida and Esther Pacheco had 13 points each in the loss.
Medellin - Ourinhos 78-86
The Brazilian champions Ourinhos ensured the second consecutive win at the South American Club Championship in Quito. They defeated Medellin from Colombia to remain on top of the standings. Medellin slipped at 1-1 record in the second position. Karen Rocha (177-G-84) finished with 20 points to lead the charge. Karina Da Silva added 17 points and 8 rebounds, while Tayara De Jesus notched 13 points for the winners. Erika Valek replied with 25 points for Medellin. Tathiana Mosquera pitched in 15 points and collected 8 rebounds in the losing effort.

Malvin - UTE 76-128
U.T.E grabbed the second straight win at the South American Club Championship. They defeated Malvin from Uruguay to share the top spot in Group B with Central Enterriano. Maria Espinoza finished with 26 points and 9 boards for U.T.E. Silvia Santos Luz (172-G-75) added 24 points and 6 assists for the winning team. Lucia Guadalupe responded with 16 points for Malvin. Florencia Somma had 14 points in defeat. U.T.E outrebounded their opponents 48:25 and forced those to 20 turnovers. The hosts also sank solid 60% from the field.
Regatas - C.Entrerriano 85-89
Central Enterriano outmuscled Regatas Lima in the second round of action at the South American Club Championship held in Ecuador these days. The Argentinean team thus gained the second straight win and share the top position in Group B with hosting U.T.E. Noelia Mendoza (182-F/C-80) finished with 24 points to lead Central Enterriano. Erica Sanchez had 19 points, while Andrea Gale notched 15 points and 11 boards in the win. Paola Ferrari (178-G/F-85) unloaded game-high 42 points, collected 14 boards and dished out 10 assists for an impressive triple-double. Wynter Whitley added 20 points and 8 rebounds in defeat.
