Americana (ADCF Unimed) keeps the perfect score after four days

2012 South American Club Championship for women started on Monday at the Coliseum General Ruminahui, Quito, Ecuador. Four rounds are already played and ADCF Unimed is the only unbeaten team so far. They have perfect 4-0 record and already booked a spot for the Big Final. Ourinhos secured the second place as they already registered three wins, which include games against U.T.E. and Lanus. So, despite there is one more round to go, it is already clear that ADCF Unimed and Ourinhos will fight for the title at this event. Today, ADCF Unimed will meet Regatas Lima, while Ourinho will play against Malvin. Lanus will take on U.T.E in the battle for third place in the group.

In the most important game so far, ADCF Unimed blasted Ourinhos 84-54. It was a key match for the first place in the group. Clarissa Dos Santos (184-C-88) led ADCF Unimed with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Karla Martins (172-G-78) followed with 18 points and 6 boards. Joice de Souza (174-G-86) answered with 15 points and 5 rebs in defeat.
