Zorg and Zekerheid Leiden (Eredivisie) re-signed experienced 35-year old Surinamese international power forward Sergio de Randamie (201-109kg-84, college: Houston, agency: Court Side). He has played there for the last two seasons. de Randamie helped them to win the cup and make to league semifinals. It was a very successful season in his career as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Dutch Eredivisie Sixth Man of the Year. de Randamie played 11 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he averaged just 1.7ppg, 1.1rpg and 1.0apg last season.
de Randamie won Dutch Promotie Divisie championship title in 2010. He has been regularly called to Surinamese Senior National Team since 2018.
de Randamie has spent his entire career in Holland playing for six other teams: Den Helder, ABC Amsterdam, Groningen, Zwolle, Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Leiden.
de Randamie attended University of Houston until 2006 and it will be his 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
His game is described as: Incredible rebounder on both Ends of the Floor! Great defensive Player. Good scorer from inside to 3pt Range! Real Teamplayer!.
