Hoofdklasse Round 2 of Regular Season

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in Hoofdklasse. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

First defeat of league's leader De Arend (1-1) against SCVU (1-1) 91-68 was the most important game of the last round. Sergio Panka orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Oscar Patterson contributed with 19 points for the winners. SCVU's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Emile La Rose (185-97) replied with 20 points and 8 rebounds for De Arend. De Arend will play next round against Yellow Birds trying to make it back to the top of the standings. SCVU will try to continue on its current victory against CLD on the road.
The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. Ruckers (2-0) played at the court of Yellow Birds (0-2). Ruckers smashed Yellow Birds 104-81. The former international point guard Gylan Watamaleo (178-93) scored 22 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Bjorn Ewijk chipped in 17 points during the contest. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international Chaief Wielingen (188-0) responded with 29 points and 5 rebounds. Ruckers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yellow Birds will play against De Arend (#4) to get more than just one victory in their record.

In the last game of round 2 winless Yellow Birds lost to undefeated Finabank 61-68.

Finabank - Yellow Birds 68-61

No shocking result in a game when Finabank (1-0) beat Yellow Birds (0-2) 68-61. Strangely Yellow Birds outrebounded Finabank 27-12. Earvin Randamie scored 8 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Darryl Tolud chipped in 11 points during the contest. Donyell Samson responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Ferlaino Krak scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. Finabank will play against De Schakel (#5) in the next round. Yellow Birds will play against De Arend to get more than just one victory in their record.
