Hoofdklasse is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 4 rounds left. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most important game in the last round was the one between third ranked De Schakel (1-2) and sixth ranked De Arend (2-2) on Sunday night. De Schakel was defeated by De Arend 63-48. They held De Schakel to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 31.1 percent accuracy of the winners. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Chayf Elburg (185-98) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Emile La-Rose (185-97) who added 12 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Dutch forward Jahmal Henar responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. De Arend moved-up to third place. De Schakel at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with CLD. De Arend are looking forward to face Finabank (#4) in the next round. De Schakel will play against CLD and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very significant was Ruckers' (#1, 3-0) victory against 3rd ranked De Schakel (1-2) 75-69. The winners were led by Bjorn Ewijk who scored that evening 19 points and 8 rebounds and Safiero Fraser supported him with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds by Elray Ritfeld did not help to save the game for De Schakel. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ruckers have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 3-0 record. De Schakel at the other side dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. They share the position with CLD. Ruckers will play against Finabank (#4) in the next round. De Schakel will play against CLD and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Yellow Birds - CLD 60-68

CLD has registered their first victory this season after two consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in , where they defeated Yellow Birds (1-3) 68-60 on Sunday. CLD had a 35-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Hesdy Lens fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Kevin Sandie chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Four CLD players scored in double figures. CLD's coach used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Shankar Persaud produced 11 points and 7 rebounds and Ferlaino Krak added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side.
