Hoofdklasse Round 6: Ruckers defeat De Arend in the game between Top 4 teams

An interesting game for Ruckers (5-0) which played against 3rd ranked De Arend (3-3). Top-ranked Ruckers managed to get a 13-point victory 79-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of De Arend. Ruckers dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to De Arend's 24. They outrebounded De Arend 38-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for the former international Xavier Elburg (196-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international Safiero Fraser (193-96) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international guard Emile La-Rose (185-97) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for De Arend. Undefeated Ruckers have an impressive five-game winning streak. Earvin Randamie scored 15 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Jean-claude Smith chipped in 13 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Hesdy Lens with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 19 rebounds (on 13-of-14 shooting from the field). Finabank moved-up to fifth place. CLD at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Yellow Birds. Finabank will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
