Lens' double-double lands him Player of the Week award

Hesdy Lens had an amazing evening in the last round for CLD and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 29 points and 19 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Finabank (#5, 2-3) 62-69. CLD moved-up to the 6th position in Surinamese league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 4 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Lens had a remarkable 92.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be CLD's top player in his first season with the team. Lens has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 16.0ppg).

Second best performed player last round was Sergio Panka of league's second-best SCVU. He is a in his second season at SCVU. In the last game Panka recorded impressive double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for SCVU to edge the lower-ranked Yellow Birds (#7, 1-4) by 4 points 72-68. This victory allowed SCVU to move up to second position in the standings. His team's 3-1 record is not bad at all. Panka is well-known at SCVU and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.3ppg (#3). He also registered 10.3 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Xavier Elburg (196-PF-96) of league's leader Ruckers. Elburg showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Ruckers, leading his team to a 79-66 easy win against #3 ranked De Arend in a game of the week. Ruckers started extremely well this year. They recorded 5 victories without losing a single game. Elburg turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Elburg has a great season in Surinam. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 10.8ppg (8th best), rebounds with 8.2rpg (8th best) and assists with 2.0apg (8th best).
