De Arend dethrone Koi Carper, clinch first SBA title in nine years

De Arend are the new SBA champions. They dethroned Koi Carper winning the fourth game of the Hoofdklasse championship series. De Arend eked out a 36-34 halftime lead. They went on a 23-14 run in the third period to secure an 11-point lead at the final break. De Arend stepped on the gas late in the fourth quarter and rallied to the win. Emile La Rose (185-G-1997) stepped up with 26 points for the champions. Chayf Elburg (185-SG-1998) netted 16 points for the winners.
