KFUM Nassjo Basket (Basketligan) agreed terms with 20-year old Surinamese small forward Richard Mendes (201cm-2005) for the new 2025-26 season. He has played for the last two years at KFUM Blackeberg IK in the Superettan. In 26 games, he had 11.3ppg, 6.6rpg, 1.2apg, and 1.5bpg last season.
He has also played in Surinam (Koi Carper). Mendes won the Surinam League championship title in 2023.
