WLBL newcomer Energy Sporting Club landed 29-year old American (has also Trinidad and Tobago passport) forward Kellindra Zackery (184-88, college: Newman). She played in the summer at Real Bolivar in Ecuadorian Liga Femenina. Zackery managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). She helped them to make it to the semifinals. The last season Zackery played at Beroe in Bulgarian NBL where in 8 games she averaged impressive 15.6ppg, 6.5rpg, 2.5apg and 1.5spg. She also played 17 games in WABA where she had 12.4ppg, 6.2rpg and 2.3apg. Zackery contributed to her team making it to the final.

Among other achievements she received All-German 2.Bundesliga South Player of the Year award and All-German 2.Bundesliga South Import Player of the Year award back in 2013.

Zackery has played previously professionally in Germany (TV Saarlouis Royals, BC Pharmaserv Marburg and TSV Amicitia) and Bulgaria (Montana 2003).

She attended Newman University until 2012 and it will be her sixth season in pro basketball.
Zackery's game is described as: Great pos 3,4,5 player. Can play 3,4 in any league and pos 5 in lower leagues. Big fighter, very coachable. Good person.

Basketballer Rampersad selected on T&T soccer team - 5 months ago
Multi-talented 17yr old Megan Rampersad will again represent Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) at international level, but this time at soccer. The midfielder was selected by head coach Jamal Shabazz and his technical team to represent T&T Women 20u Team at the CONCACAF Women Under20 Championships.
