Police's women seize opener

The Trinidad & Tobago Police Service won the opening game in the women's division as the National Basketball Federation of Trinidad and Tobago's (NBFTT) National
Invitational Championships (NIC) tipped off December 15, 2019 at the Maloney Indoor Sport Arena.

In the opening fixture of a double header Brian Chase women team was no match for the Police unit, falling to an 18 point deficit in the first quarter of play. As the game progressed, Police continued to outplay their opponents maintaining a
double-digit lead throughout the contest.

Guard Kielle Connelly, who has been instrumental in Police's scoring this year in the North Zone Basketball League, continued her offensive display finishing with
33 points in the team's 82-51 win over Brian Chase. Allison Young contributed 15 points in her team's defeat.
