BCBA defeat Army

On day two of NIC action (Sunday 22nd December, 2019) the T&T Defence Force (TTDF) and Brian Chase Basketball Academy (BCBA) women took the floor. Despite a low scoring first half, the second half of play had fans on the edge of their seats. In the third quarter, TTDF's Janeisha Cassimy led the scoring with eight (8) points to help 'Army' secure a 43-31 cushion at the end of the period. But national women's forward, Allison Young was not ready to submit to the Defence Force scoring fourteen (14) of her 33 points in the last quarter, and forcing an overtime as the scores were levelled 58 a piece at the end of regulation.

With five (5) minutes of extra time added, Young displayed resilience in leading her team to victory, scoring eight (8) of BCBA's nine (9) points to record their first win of the NIC defeating TTDF 67-63.
