Granada keeps Warner for another season- May 27, 2020

Grupo Hafesa Raca Granada (LF2) re-signed 28-year old Vincentian-Trinidad and Tobago center Verdine Warner (194-92, college: Shaw). She played there last season. In 16 LF2 games she averaged 11.5ppg, 10.8rpg (#3 in the league), and 1.1bpg. She can count that season as a very successful as was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LF2 Honorable Mention. Warner also played for TV Saarlouis Royals in German league where in two games she had 6.5ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.0apg, and 1.0bpg. Warner has played also professionally in Greece (GS Kronos Agiou Dimitriou), Czech Republic (Basket Slovanka MB Tabor) and Germany (Goettingen). Among many awards Warner's team won German 2.Bundesliga Group North Regular Season in 2017. She received also Eurobasket.com All-German 2.Bundesliga North Player of the Year award and Eurobasket.com All-German 2.Bundesliga North Defensive Player of the Year award back in 2017. She attended Shaw University until 2015 and it is her sixth season in pro basketball. Let's have a closer look into Warner's outlook: Verdine is a 194cm (6'4') Post from the Island of West Indies in the Atlantic Ocean. She is big and athletic as a player and can run the floor well and be a great help for her team in offense and defense. She is a great rebounder and a good blocker. Verdine was selected in the 2015 CIAA Women's Basketball Player of the Year and 2015 All-CIAA Team. She has international experience playing in the Czech Republic, Greece, Germany, and Spain.
