Kaila Charles leads Sun in losing effort

Kaila Charles, who has Trinidadian and Antiguan parentage, shared a team high 14pts along with 4rebs in 16mins court time off the bench for Connecticut Sun in the WNBA. Despite the 6-1 forward effort, Connecticut still went under 66-89 to Seattle Storm on June 13. It is her season best in nine games thus far.

With the loss, Connecticut record dropped to 8-3 but they still leads the Eastern Conference. While, Seattle enjoys a 10-2 record and maintains the top spot in the West. Connecticut next play Chicago Sky (4-7) on June 17. Charles is averaging 2.5ppg and 2.9rebs in 11.4mins court time.

Prior to the WNBA, Charles played 16 games for Petah Tikva in Israeli DI league. She enjoyed a very successful season with impressive stats of 17.8ppg, 10.8rpg and 2.9apg. Charles was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week Award.
