Benfica lands Chervelle Cox

Sport Lisboa Benfica (Liga Feminina) tabbed 29-year old Trinidad and Tobago ex-international 186cm forward Chervelle Cox (college: Central State), agency: Jones Sports International. Cox already started the season at Bashkimi in Kosovan Superleague. In 5 games she averaged 14.4ppg, 10.6rpg, 2.6apg and 4.0spg. She also played 1 game in Liga Unike where she had very impressive stats: 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals. The last season she played at Dadolle ASPTT Dijon (NF2) in French league.
Cox also represented Trinidad and Tobago at the CBC Championships for Women in Tortola (British Virgin Islands) seven years ago. Her team got to the Semifinals and her stats at that event were 3 games: 3.3ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.0spg.
She has played previously professionally in Australia (Seahawks) and Spain (Barakaldo).
Cox won NJCAA D2 District N championship title in 2017.
She attended Central State until 2019 and it is her third season in pro basketball.
