U16 women go into camp

Trinidad and Tobago U16 women's national basketball team will transition into the final stage of preparation ahead of the Centrobasket U17 Women's 2023 Qualifiers, in Managua Nicaragua.

The team, comprised of 14 athletes, will head into camp in Mayaro (July 6th - 11th) before flying off for their regional tournament running form July 27 - 31.

'These young ladies have been training for a little over a year and are eager to represent Trinidad and Tobago in this tournament', expressed Coach Sandy. He went on to explain, 'We're excited and looking forward to our team camp. Our goals are to establish our playing style, bond as a family and build on our philosophy.

A total of 6 teams including Trinidad & Tobago, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, and hosts Nicaragua will take part in the Qualifiers. The competition structure will see each team play the other in a single-group round-robin format, with the teams placed 1st - 3rd qualifying for the Women's Centrobasket U17 Championships in 2023.
