In their final encounter of the Centrobasket U17 Women's 2023 Qualifiers, T&T faced Honduras in the early match of the day at the Alexis Arguello Sports Complex.

Without a win in any of their previous matches, the T&T team was desperate to end its campaign on a positive note. The girls signalled their intent early against Honduras, and proved to be the more assertive of the two teams by establishing a 10-5 lead at the end of Quarter one.

T&T took their foot off the gas in the second quarter, allowing Honduras to get back into the game. The Hondurans went on an 8 - 2 scoring run that saw T&T take a slender 17 - 15 lead into the half time break.

Coming into the third quarter with greater purpose, T&T amped up their defensive pressure. Julia George led the line for T&T's high press and came up big with multiple steals and interceptions. That led to T&T going on an 8-0 run of its own to regain control at 25 - 15. Failing to cope with the intensity of the game, Honduras fell further behind, trailing 34 - 19 heading into the fourth quarter.

Sensing the opportunity to secure the win, T&T took full control of the final quarter. Amariah Clyne took on the brunt of the offensive responsibility, and in the end T&T cruised to victory, 52 - 34.

Finishing 5th in the overall tournament standings, T&T missed out on qualification for the 2023 Centrobasket U17 Women's Championships - (with Panama, Cost Rica and Nicaragua earning qualification).

T&T had notable individual performers at the tournament, with Amariah Clyne leading all players in terms of Points, Field Goals Made and 2Pts Field Goal Percentage. Mariah Charles was listed second overall in Total Rebounds, Julia George was second on the list for Assists and Carissa Ramdial was second on the list of 3Pts Field Goals Made and Steals. Ramdial was also named as the Best Point Guard in the tournament, and voted to the tournament's All Star 5.
