Bursaspor tabs Johnny Hamilton

Johnny Hamilton

Frutti Extra Bursaspor (BSL) inked 29-year old Trinidad and Tobago 213cm center Johnny Hamilton (college: UT Arlington) for upcoming season. Hamilton played most recently at Merkezefendi. In 24 BSL games in Turkey he averaged 10.5ppg, 7.1rpg and 1.9bpg last season. He also spent pre-season at Niigata Albirex (B1 League) in Japanese league.
Hamilton is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Hamilton has played previously professionally in Montenegro (Mornar), NBA (Atlanta Hawks), Turkey (Dacka, Fenerbahce and Afyon), NBA G League (College Park SkyHawks and Grand Rapids Gold), NBA Summer League (Milwaukee Bucks) and PBL (Just Hoops).
Among many awards his team made it to the Adriatic League Semifinals in 2021. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-EuroCup Honorable Mention back in 2020.
Hamilton graduated from University of Texas at Arlington in 2018 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball. He played also for Virginia Tech University for 2 years.
