Spartans TT Females Clinch FEMBA 23 Radiance U23 3x3 Title

Spartans TT emerged triumphant in the inaugural FEMBA 3x3 tournament, securing the Radiance U23 title by defeating NCA Warriors in the finals with a decisive 9 -5 victory. Ty Warwick's outstanding performance as the top scorer propelled Spartans TT to success, scoring 5 of their 9 points.

In her opening speech, FEMBA President Alicia Cumberbatch highlighted the significance of introducing the 3x3 format to empower female players, providing them with the opportunity to achieve success on the international stage. Cumberbatch assured support for female players in Trinidad and Tobago, emphasizing FEMBA's commitment to assisting in their qualification through points and national ranks.

The tournament, featuring 8 teams from 5 clubs, showcased thrilling competition. Spartans TT secured their spot in the finals by overcoming Maloney Pacers 11- 9 in an intense overtime encounter, with Warwick's crucial free throws sealing the victory. In the other semi-final, NCA Warriors triumphed over Royalty Basketball Academy 9-8, leading to Royalty Basketball Academy claiming the third-place spot by defeating Maloney Pacer Basketball Academy and Development Program.

The 3x3 FEMBA action continued at the Maloney Indoor Sporting Complex, with senior women taking center stage to vie for the coveted 3x3 Senior Women Champions title on February 3.
