TTSBA to Host “Girls Celebration Empower-Her” in Collaboration with NBFTT- October 9, 2024

The Trinidad & Tobago Schools Basketball Association (TTSBA), in collaboration with the National Basketball Federation of Trinidad & Tobago (NBFTT), is proud to announce the “Girls Celebration Empower-Her” event, scheduled for Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Eastern Regional Indoor Sports Arena (ERISA). This exciting event will bring together young female athletes from 15 schools across the nation, showcasing the talent, skill, and empowerment of girls in basketball. The event is part of the Her World, Her Rules (HWHR) initiative, designed to promote the involvement of young women in the sport, and aims to inspire the next generation of female basketball players in Trinidad and Tobago. Throughout the day, the participants will engage in: Skill development clinics led by experienced basketball coaches.3x3 games showcasing the future of girls' basketball.Inspirational talks from role models in sports, highlighting the importance of perseverance, leadership, and empowerment through athletics.“We are thrilled to host this event and collaborate with NBFTT to give young girls an opportunity to shine and grow in the sport they love,” said Allison Bastian, President of TTSBA. “Basketball is more than just a game—it’s a platform for building confidence, teamwork, and leadership.
