Johnny Hamilton (ex Gorgan) agreed terms with Lleida

Newly promoted Hiopos Forca Lleida (Liga Endesa) inked 30-year old Trinidad and Tobago 213cm center Johnny Hamilton (college: UT Arlington). He played most recently at Shahrdari Gorgan in Iranian Superleague. He managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year (!!!). Hamilton also played for Beirut Club in Lebanese LBL where in 5 games he recorded 8.4ppg, 6.4rpg and 2.4bpg. The other team he played shortly was Bursaspor Basketbol (BSL) in Turkish league. He also played 25 games in Turkish BSL where he averaged 10.8ppg, 6.8rpg, 1.0apg and 1.6bpg.
Hamilton is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to nine different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Hamilton has played previously professionally in Iran, Japan (Niigata Albirex), Lebanon, Montenegro (Mornar), Turkey (Darussafaka Lassa, Fenerbahce, Afyon and Merkezefendi), NBA (Atlanta Hawks), NBA G League (College Park SkyHawks and Grand Rapids Gold), NBA Summer League (Milwaukee Bucks) and PBL (Just Hoops). His team was regular season runner-up in Lebanese League in 2024.
Among many awards he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-EuroCup Honorable Mention back in 2020.
He graduated from University of Texas at Arlington in 2018 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball. Hamilton played for other colleges like: Virginia Tech University, Jacksonville College.
