Coach KG Elite recorded a 67-53 victory over Straker Nets as the regular season of the First Division in the Kelvin Roberts North Zone Basketball Commission League concluded on July 5 at Woodbrook Youth Center, Port of Spain. The outcome did not affect league standings, with both teams maintaining their positions: the second-ranked Nets moved to a 6-3 record, while fifth-place Elite finished with a 5-4 record.

Kern George led Elite with 25 points, opening the game by scoring the team's first nine points—all three-pointers—and finishing with five triples overall. From the tip-off, Elite maintained consistent leads at each quarter—16-13, 36-33, and 48-41—before extending the margin in the final period.

Jaden Roberts added 22 points and Roger Springer scored 10 points for Elite. For the Nets, Sadiki Guerra contributed 13 points and Chike Augustine finished with 12 points.

Prisons Vets lock down NFM Vets


In the Over 45 Division opener, Trinidad and Tobago Prisons Veterans beat National Flour Mills Veterans 56-44, moving to 2-3 and fifth place, while NFM remains winless at 0-4 in sixth spot in the standings. Steve Mc Sween led Prisons with 21 points as they controlled the game throughout. For NFM, David King scored 14 and Roger Springer added 10 in the loss.
