Royalty Hands Defending Champions Maloney Pacers Second Straight Defeat

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad May 30, 2026 Jedaiah King scored 23 points and Jason Best added 22 as Royalty Basketball Academy defeated defending champions Maloney Pacers 100-86 in Men's First Division action of the Lincoln “Cripple” Griffith North Zone Basketball League.

Royalty led 30-23 after the first quarter and 53-47 at halftime behind strong three-point shooting. The Pacers, led by Hakeem Morgan's game-high 24 points, rallied to tie the game 73-73 after three quarters.

Royalty responded with a dominant fourth quarter, outscoring Maloney 27-13 to secure the victory. Khushaiah King added 16 points for Royalty.

Freedom Leon scored 20 points for the Pacers, while Hasseem Best added 18 and Judah Guy 13.

Coach KG Elite Cruises Past D Rookies in U-17 Action

Earlier, Coach KG Elite delivered a dominant performance in the Boys' Under-17 Division, defeating D Rookies 99-62.

Elite established control early, taking a 17-12 lead after the opening quarter before extending the margin to 50-33 at halftime. The lead grew to 69-46 after three quarters as Elite never allowed D Rookies back into the contest.

Lance Crouch led all scorers with 28 points, while Jurrell Charles added 24 and Terrel Lewis contributed 14.

Isaiah Westfield and Antonio Charles scored 12 points each for D Rookies.
