For Okeechobee, 2019 forward Jemal Davis has shown he can get the job done.

The 6'7, 175-pounder averaged 12.9 PPG and 8.9 RPG for the 20-7 Brahmans in Class 7A.

He said his junior season started off great but then he had a mid-season slump. But Davis continued and said he learned how to bounce back and it improved his overall game and confidence.

Davis has one offer currently from Palm Beach Atlantic.

He played for My Island Ballers Elite this summer, an AAU program he's been with for two years.

'It was a really good experience playing against different skilled players and we also won every tournament we played in,' Davis told Prep Hoops.

Davis is aiming to improve his ballhandling, vertical and strength this season.

A long and rangy forward, Davis is a nice mid-range shooter and finesse inside guy. He's athletic and chippy on the boards which helps him produce double doubles more often than not. For Okeechobee, expect Davis to be an instrumental part to the team's success this fall.

Jr. Magic Spotlight - JaJa Richards - 3 days ago

My first memories of playing were when I was about 7 years old. I remember playing on the streets with a milk crate nailed to the telephone pole. However, I grew from 5'8' to 6'9' during my awkward high...   [read more]

Gophers Basketball Gophers' Jordan Murphy makes college hoops magazine cover - 5 days ago
Jordan Murphy (198-F-97) got off to one of the hottest starts of any Gophers basketball player in recent memory with 17 straight double-double games to open last season, tying Tim Duncan's mark at Wake Forest in 1996-97. While you won't see the Gophers receiving much preseason hype entering the 2018-19 season after finishing with a 15-17 record last season, Murphy, a 6-foot-7 senior power forward, will be on the cover of at least one college basketball preseason magazine this fall. Stre...   [read more]
