Two teams sitting on opposite sides of Group F are clashing in the 7th round of action of the Americas 2019 Basketball World Championship Qualifiers, when the group leaders of Venezuela (5-1), are hosting the second-worse Virgin Islands (2-4). The game takes place at the Parque Miranda Arena of Caracas, Venezuela on Thursday, September 13th 2018.

Date/Time: 6:30pm

Scrimmage: The Virgin Islands upset Puerto Rico 74-66, on Tuesday evening in a road warm up. Congrats to coaching staff of Wilo Colon and Donald Bough. Distance shooting prevailed in the contest with Johnathan Gray hitting four 3pointers, Georgio Milligan had three and Amir Nesbitt contributed two.

The University of Georgia men's basketball team won its second consecutive game at home with a victory over the Sam Houston State Bearkats 75-64 in Stegeman Coliseum on Friday night. Nicolas Claxton (211-SF-99) finished second in points and led in rebounds with eight on the night. John Collins(208-PF-97, college: Wake Forest) is expected to make his season debut Saturday after the Hawks power forward was upgraded to probable on the team's injury report ahead of a game at the Pacers.
