Farrington
New Arkansas State signee Malcolm Farrington (195-G-99) does not like being labeled.
As a guard, he does not want to be tagged with the label of one or the other.'The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder said the Red Wolves recruited him to be a shooting guard.
'I'm just a guard,'' said Farrington, who went public with his commitment to A-State after a visit in late September.

'But in coach (Mike) Balado's system they are interchangeable,'' he said. 'I can play point guard or I can play shooting guard.'

Farrington is currently enrolled at DME Academy, a prep school, in Daytona Beach.

Farrington has played for the U.S. Virgin Islands in three international tournaments. His father is from the island so he qualifies for the team.

At the 2016 FIBA Americas U18 championships he averaged 9.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. In 2015 he played in the Centrobasket U17 Championship and averaged 10.4 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. In 2014, he played in the Centrobasket U15 Championship and averaged 10.8 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists per contest. The script on Saturday in Greensboro, North Carolina was much different. The Bisons turned a one-point deficit late in the first half into a convincing 86-69 beat down of top-seeded UNCG in second-round action of the NIT at the Greensboro Coliseum. With the win Lipscomb advances to the quarterfinals of the NIT and will face the winner of No. 2 NC Sta...   [read more]

Gophers' Jordan Murphy didn't get the ending he deserved - 1 hour ago
DES MOINES, Iowa - Richard Pitino took a timeout in an effort to stop the bleeding amid a 14-0 Michigan State run in the first half Saturday. The Gophers' players on the floor ran toward their coach in search of answers. The problem was, the one man who might have been able to resuscitate Minnesota's Sweet 16 hopes wasn't among them. Slowly, Jordan Murphy (201-F-97) made his way from behind the bench toward the Gophers' huddle, grimacing with every labored step, using the Gophers' bench...   [read more]
