Jordan Murphy (201-F-97) had 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Minnesota rallied to beat No. 24 Nebraska 85-78 on Wednesday night.

MURPHY SETS SCHOOL RECORD Jordan Murphy, who led the nation with a school-record 24 double-doubles last season, recorded his seventh double-double of the season to break Jim Brewer's school-record of 51 career double-doubles. Murphy's 52nd career double-double consisted of 18 points and 13 rebounds. The senior connected on 5-of-12 field goals and was 8-of-10 at the free throw line.

MURPHY CLIMBS ALL-TIME REBOUNDING CHART Murphy, whose career-best rebounding total is 21, stretched his school-record rebounding total to 1,019. Last season, Murphy finished with a school-record total of 361 rebounds. Larry Mikan held the previous single-season record at Minnesota, with 349 boards during the 1969-70 season, and Mychal Thompson's 956 career rebounds had been tops.

Senior Jordan Murphy On the post-game emotions… 'I think everyone got a little emotional at the end of the game. Obviously it was a great feeling just knowing we could get that for Pre knowing what he's going through. We could fight for him. He had a big shot down the stretch and so we're so proud of him. To do what he's doing right now is next to impossible. I can't even imagine what he's going through. I'm just proud of him. Proud of knowing him for as long as I have and it's been a pleasure playing with him. He's definitely one of the toughest guys you'll ever meet.'
