Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Virgin Islanders who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida, currently plays in Lebanon). He led Homentmen to a victory over the league outsider Sagesse (1-5) 74-66 in a derby game in the Lebanese LBL in Saturday night's game. Hodge was MVP of the game. He scored 21 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 7 assists in 33 minutes on the court. Homentmen Beirut (5-1) is placed second in the LBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Hodge's first season with the team. Hodge has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 17.7ppg, 4.5rpg, 5.7apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 53.1%, 3FGP: 27.6% and FT: 81.1% in six games he played so far. Hodge has a dual citizenship: U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rican. He is currently a member of the U.S. Virgin Islands senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former international center Frank Elegar (208-86, college: Drexel, currently plays in Turkey). He could not help Tofas (8-4) in their last game. Despite Elegar's good performance Tofas lost 81-93 at home to the leading Anadolu Efes. He scored 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 23 minutes. They ended the series of five consecutive victories. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Elegar has relatively good stats this year: 13.0ppg, 6.0rpg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 71.4% and FT: 75.0% in two games. He is another player who holds two passports: U.S. Virgin Islands and Guyanese. Elegar played for the U.S. Virgin Islands national team in 2016.

Deon Edwin

   #3. The U.S. Virgin Islands player who performed third best last week abroad was an international guard Deon Edwin (190-92, agency: Interperformances, college: Kent St., currently plays in Ukraine). He contributed to Khimik's victory against the sixth-ranked Odessa (5-8) 84-78 in the Ukrainian Superleague in Saturday night's game. Edwin scored 15 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 6 assists; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. BK Khimik-OPZ Yuhzny (11-4) is placed first in the Superleague. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. This season Edwin has very high stats. He averages: 16.0ppg, 3.7rpg, 4.3apg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 62.3%(76-122), 3FGP: 39.3% and FT: 75.3%. Edwin is also a member of the U.S. Virgin Islands senior national team.

Jordan Murphy

   #4. Forward Jordan Murphy (201-97, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the North Carolina A&T State University (5-8) 86-67 in the NCAA last Friday. He had a double-double by scoring 30 points and getting 16 rebounds. Murphy also added 4 assists in 35 minutes. The University of Minnesota has 1-1 conference record this season. Murphy is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Minnesota's roster. He has very impressive stats this season: 16.2ppg, 12.9rpg and 2.9apg in 12 games. Murphy has both American and U.S. Virgin Islands nationalities. He used to play for the U.S. Virgin Islands national team back in 2016.

   #5. International small forward Nicolas Claxton (211-99, currently studies in the States) contributed to Georgia's victory against the Georgia Tech 70-59 in the NCAA on Saturday night. Claxton recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting the same number of rebounds. He also added 6 assists and 6 blocks. The University of Georgia has conference record this season. This year Claxton has relatively solid stats: 12.6ppg, 10.1rpg, 2.6apg, 3.1bpg and 1.4spg. He plays currently for the U.S. Virgin Islands national team.

   #6. Forward LaRon Smith (203-93, college: Auburn, currently plays in Cyprus) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Etha in their game against Omonia (4-6) in the Cypriot Division A. He recorded 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 22 minutes. But Etha lost 79-85 in a derby game to the higher-ranked (#5) Omonia. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. This year Smith's overall stats are: 7.7ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.5bpg and 1.2spg in 10 games. He also holds two passports: U.S. Virgin Islands and American. Worth to mention Smith played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Smith is an international player who is currently on the senior U.S. Virgin Islands National Team roster.

   #7. International forward Jahmiah Simmons (193-98, is currently at the American university) managed to help University of North Texas in a victory against the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff 77-66 in the NCAA on Thursday night. He scored only 3 points in 13 minutes. The University of North Texas have conference record this season. This year Simmons' total stats are: 4.8ppg and 4.6rpg in 13 games. He is also U.S. Virgin Islands national team player.

Kyle Clarke

   #8. Guard Kyle Clarke (196-95, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Southeastern University 90-72 in the NCAA in Thursday night's game. Clarke scored only 2 points. The Kennesaw State University has conference record this season. Clarke has been at the team for four years. He has averaged so far 5.4ppg, 3.1rpg and 1.3apg. Clarke plays currently for the U.S. Virgin Islands national team.

   #9. International swingman Rashawn Fredericks (196-96, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the South Carolina State University crushing them 77-56 in the NCAA last Saturday. He scored 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 17 minutes. The University of Cincinnati has conference record this season. Fredericks has averaged so far 3.8ppg and 2.3rpg in 13 games. He used to play for the U.S. Virgin Islands national team last year.

   #1. John Collins (208-PF-97, college: Wake Forest, currently plays in NBA) could not help the Atlanta Hawks (9-24) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Collins' very good performance the Atlanta Hawks (9-24) were defeated 129-121 on the road by the Indiana Pacers. He recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 11 rebounds. Collins has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 18.6ppg, 10.0rpg and 2.4apg. Collins has a dual citizenship: U.S. Virgin Islands and American.

   #2. De'Quon Lake (208-F, currently plays college basketball in the States) managed to help Arizona State University to win against the University of Kansas 80-76 in the NCAA last Saturday. He scored only 3 points. The Arizona State University has conference record this season. Lake's total stats this year are: 5.1ppg and 4.9rpg.

   #3. Quennel Francis (183-PG, currently studies in the States) was not able to help the one of league's weakest teams Southeastern University in their game against the Kennesaw State University in the TSC. Francis cannot count Thursday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only one point. his team was badly defeated 90-72 in Kennesaw by the State University. Francis has averaged so far 2.5ppg and 2.0rpg.

Ahsan Asadullah (203-C) and the Lipscomb men's basketball team needed a second-half comeback to keep its season alive Tuesday at Davidson. The script on Saturday in Greensboro, North Carolina was much different.
