Willett
Queens University of Charlotte senior forward Shaun Willett (193-F) was featured in SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays of the Night, on Jan. 3, 2019, for a dunk that helped Queens to a 102-85 win over Virginia Union University at the Levine Center. The dunk, which was Willett's fourth of the game, was ranked No. 7 by ESPN.

With 2:28 remaining in the first half, Willett caught a pass at the top of the key and drove right for a right-handed tomahawk jam over a leaping defender that gave Queens a 45-27 lead. Willett finished the night with a career-high 28 points on 11 of 15 shooting, and 14 rebounds to post his NCAA-leading 12th double-double of the season.

Willett became the second Queens player to ever appear in the nightly countdown by ESPN's flagship program. On Nov. 18, 2016, a dunk by Daniel Camps received the No. 9 ranking from ESPN's Top Plays in an 84-69 win over Lees-McRae College.

Led by Willett, Queens has won eight straight games, including six in a row by double figures. The Royals return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Newberry College. Opening tipoff is scheduled for 9 p.m.

Murphy comes to the twilight of his memorable career with Gophers - 20 hours ago
DES MOINES, Iowa - With a casual gait, Jordan Murphy(201-F-97) led the Gophers men's basketball players onto the court for the team's shootaround Wednesday at Wells Fargo Center. The senior forward also was the last to leave. This isn't a surprise. During his four seasons at Minnesota, Murphy has never missed a practice. Not for a twisted ankle, dislocated finger, a random bout with the flu, or most likely, the accumulation of bumps and bruises (or something worse) from the banging he ex...   [read more]

Adams and Campbellsville lose in final moments - 22 hours ago
A 2018-19 season that saw the Campbellsville men's basketball team have eight final results come down to one possession and five one-point finishes came to and end Wednesday afternoon with a 71-70 loss to Lewis-Clark State College in the first round of the NAIA National Tournament. The Tigers led by 10 points at 63-53 after a layup from Joan Duran at the 8:07 mark but the Warriors finished the game on a 19-7 run to finish the game on their way to that 71-70 final score. All of their fina...   [read more]
