ATLANTA, Ga. - Lipscomb swept the ASUN Conference Men's Basketball weekly awards as Ahsan Asadullah (203-C) earned ASUN Newcomer of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday. Garrison Mathews was named ASUN Player of the Week.

It's the first weekly honor in Asadullah's career.

Asadullah was a key piece off the bench in a pair of Lipscomb victories last week. The freshman forward scored six points and hauled in eight boards in the Bisons' road victory at Liberty.

In Saturday's defeat of North Alabama, he scored 13 points on 6-7 from the field in just 18 minutes of action. This season, he's contributed 7.6 PPG and 4.8 RPG off the bench for the Bisons. His 7.6 PPG ranks fifth among all ASUN freshmen.

Lipscomb is back in action at 6 p.m. Wednesday when the Bisons travel to North Florida.

He will again compete in the Rising Stars Challenge and debut in the Slam Dunk Contest this weekend in Charlotte. The Riddle, Wrapped Inside a Mystery that is Royce O'Neale - 1 day ago
By Adam Bushman Royce O'Neale(198-SF-93, college: Baylor)< paid many dues throughout his journey to the NBA. Splitting his collegiate eligibility between the University of Denver and the University of Baylor, O'Neale did his best to prepare for the NBA draft. He would spend the 2015 draft night waiting for his name to be called, only to end the night disappointed with his name uncalled. Spending the next two years in Europe playing professionally, he worked to hone the skills necessary...   [read more]
