After being one of the few teams in the Mid-South Conference to play two games last week, Campbellsville's Stephaun Adams (185-G-96) was named the conference's Player of the Week Monday afternoon, MSC officials announces Monday.

This recognition is the third of the season for Adams after he was earned the honor in back-to-back weeks on Nov. 19 and 26 during the non-conference schedule. So far in the season, only one other player in the conference has been named Player of the Week three or more times as Jayvian Delacruz of Pikeville has been named four times this season.

In their two games in the make-up game against University of the Cumberlands last Monday and Georgetown College last Thursday, Adams averaged 23.5 points, 4.5 assists and three rebounds as the Tigers went 1-1. He led CU in scoring in both games as they lost to Cumberlands by a point 65-64 and they upset No. 4 Georgetown 80-71.

On Monday, Adams scored 25 points, 21 of them in the second half while also hitting a go-ahead three-pointer with about eight seconds left before the Patriots came down, got fouled and hit two free throws to take the one-point lead back to win the game.

Thursday night, Adams equally distributed his 22 points by scoring 11 in each half. He was the only Tiger to play all 40 minutes of the game as he added a game-high seven assists as CU pulled off the upset at the Powell Athletic Center.

Adams and the Tigers will host their final home game of the regular season this Thursday night when Shawnee State comes to Campbellsville. Thursday will also be senior night for the Tigers as Adams and four of his teammates will be honored pregame.
