Sunday's Hoops Schedule
Ahsan Asadullah (203-C) and Lipscomb will host No. 2 Liberty in the ASUN Final on Sunday at 2 p.m. in a game televised on ESPN. The winner will earn the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

Tyra Aska (173-G-98) and SWOSU takes on Arkansas Tech for the title at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday

Miguel Arnold (180-PG) and the top-seeded and No. 24 nationally-ranked Augusta University men's basketball team won its 12th straight game on Saturday night with a 77-77 victory over fourth-seeded UNC Pembroke in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament semifinal game. Augusta advances to the PBC Tournament Championship game for the ninth time in school history and plays Shaquan Jules (201-F) and USC Aiken on Sunday, March 10 at 4:00 p.m. in Christenberry Fieldhouse.

Jules and the No. 16 University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball team posted a 98-83 win over Francis Marion in the other semifinal. The freshman forward chipped in 10 points and six rebounds.

Shaun Willett (193-F) scored 20 points with five rebounds, but the No. 7/6 Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team (28-4, 19-1 SAC) fell to fifth-seeded Lenoir-Rhyne University (21-9, 12-8 SAC), 83-68, in the semifinals of the South Atlantic Conference Pilot Flying J Men's Basketball Championships on Saturday night at Timmons Arena. The loss snapped the Royals' nine-game winning streak. Queens enters the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championships as the No. 1-ranked team in the Southeast Region. The Royals await the announcement of the tournament bracket, which will be revealed on the NCAA D2 Selection Show on Sunday, March 10, at 10:30 p.m.

D1 Season finale
Nicolas Claxton (211-SF-99) and the Georgia men's basketball team lost its regular season finale against South Carolina, 66-46, Saturday afternoon at Colonial Life Arena. Claxton recorded his eighth-career double double - all this season - with a team-high 13 points and 10 rebounds. Defensively, Claxton, the SEC leader in blocks, added four swats to put him at 75 for the season, which is one shy of Lavon Mercer for No. 6 on Georgia's all-time season block list.
Neither team lit up the scoreboard due to low-percentage shooting, but a strong end of the first half was enough for South Carolina to control the contest. The Bulldogs (11-20, 2-16 SEC) were 11-of-42 for 26.2-percent, while the Gamecocks (16-15, 11-7 SEC) finished 19-of-56 for 33.9-percent.

James season ends
Wake Tech defeated Robelto James (185-G-98) and the Guilford Tech (24-6), 108-92, for the District XIV to book their place in the 2019 NJCAA DII Men's Basketball Championship field. Regular Season champion Pitt has clinched District XV title.

D1 Conference tourney
De'Quon Lake (208-F) and the Arizona State Sun Devils play next at the Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas against the winner of Stanford/UCLA game on Thursday, March, 14 at 8 p.m. Live Stream at

Nicolas Claxton and Georgia will be the No. 13 seed in next week's SEC Tournament at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The Bulldogs will play in the tourney's first game on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., facing either Missouri based on results of Saturday's games on the SEC Network.

Jahmiah Simmons (193-F-98), Shakeem Alcindor (203-F-98) and North Texas (20-11, 8-10) earns the 10th-seed for next week's Conference USA Championship. They will face the same FIU (19-12, 10-8) team in the first round of the tournament on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. CT at the Star in Frisco. The game will air live on ESPN+. It will be the third time in the last month UNT and FIU have met.

KJ Lewis (200-F) and Middle Tennessee will travel next to the Air Force Reserves Conference USA Basketball Championship in Frisco, Texas. It will be the 12 seed and will play fifth-seeded UAB on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. CT. The Blue Raiders beat the Blazers in back-to-back games on Jan. 30 and Feb. 2.

Romani Hansen (203-F), Collins Joseph (183-PG) and the No. 6 seed Savannah State (11-19, 8-8) takes on the No. 11 seed Delaware State (5-24, 2-14) in the Mid-Eastern Conference Tourney First Round, Norfolk Scope Arena, Norfolk, Virginia; Monday, 5 p.m.. Delaware State and Savannah State are prepared to match up in the first round of the MEAC tournament. The only meeting between the teams this season came on Feb. 2, when the Tigers outshot Delaware State en route to the 76-73 victory. Collins picked up all MEAC new comer first team award. All games will be available on the conference's official website and the tournament's official website, Sav State will be leaving the conference as well as Division I to return to Division II and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference next season.

Pan American Games Draw LIMA, PERU - 1 day ago
FIBA held the draw for groups for men's basketball of the Pan American Games in Lima 2019, leaving the Virgin Islands in group A with Puerto Rico, Venezuela and the United States. A select team of men's basketball standouts from the BIG EAST Conference will represent the United States at the 2019 Pan American Game while Puerto Rico will be sending their B team as their A team is set to play in the World Games.
