Proteas add George to their roster- October 8, 2023

AEO Proteas Voulas (A1) added to their roster 25-year old Virgin Islander international center Anisha George (188cm-1998, college: N.Texas). George played last season at CSU Olimpia Brasov in Romanian Liga Nationala. In 25 games she was league's second best scorer with impressive 19.8ppg and had 11.4rpg (#4 in the league) and 2.4spg (in top 4). Good season as she was named League Player of the Week (5 times) and voted to Eurobasket.com All-Romanian League Third Team.
The previous (2021-22) season she played at Azkoitia Azpeitia ISB in Spanish LF Challenge where in 27 games she recorded 10.6ppg and 4.8rpg in that year. She also represented U.S. Virgin Islands at the Central American and Caribbean Games for Women in San Salvador (El Salvador) this year. Her team won Gold. George has played also professionally in Switzerland (Helios). The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she played in the final of WBI Championship in 2019. She was selected to C-USA All-Defensive Team back in 2019. George graduated from University of North Texas in 2020 and it will be her fourth season as a professional player. She played also for Moberly Area Community College for 3 years.
